TECHNIQUE I first work the metal surface with a disc sander which causes reflected light to dance across the metal surface as the viewer or light source moves. Then I lay on transparent and opaque paint; the transparent paint allows the metal to show through, and the opaque figures which I paint on top then seem to float over the changing background. My intention is to create non-static art, art that changes depending on the viewer's perspective. |
